Welcome to Shake it Off Cast in 2013! I’m excited to see what this year has in store for us all!

It’s been a great year. I take a look back at the past two weeks and the past year as we turn our heads towards 2013.
Some of you might have noticed that there hasn’t been a podcast this week.
It’s been several months since I have been doing Shake it Off Cast! and I feel like I’ve come a long way. Looking back over the posts though, I don’t know how well I’ve actually done at charting my weight publically. So, after some advice from my wife I thought it would be good to start posting monthly updates showing how things have changed for me over the month.
I don’t know about you, but the longer I’m at my desk the crazier I get. In fact, I make sure that I get at least two “breaks” in where I purposefully walk outside so that I can relax, recharge, and focus completely on myself rather than work.
Some days are harder than the rest when it comes to weight loss. I mean we’ve spent most of our lives not caring what goes in our mouths, how much we move, and about being “fit”; changing all of that takes some serious effort. There are plenty of things that put a drain on that effort too such as being sick, our old ways of thinking, and life in general.
I just wanted to throw up a short note as to why the podcast hasn’t been posted yet.
It’s important to remember that you are not alone in your weight loss struggle. Too many times we falter because we feel desperately alone.
In the past, when I’ve joined a weight loss program I’ve always been told to envision myself having lost all my weight and how great it will be to be healthy and thin. What a bunch of junk.
